Today we're going to take a look at the replacement section for the Progressive Dynamics 4500 Series 60 Amp Inteli-Power Converter. Now this will replace the converter section on the 60 Amp Progressive Dynamics 4500 Series Inteli-Power Converter. It's actually designed to fit the part number PD4560K18LS8. Now this is a power converter, which will deliver DC power to and charge your batteries for recreational vehicle's 12V lighting and appliance circuits. It does use a built-in Charge Wizard, which is a four stage charging system. It'll constantly monitor your batteries and it'll automatically adjust your converter output voltage based on the battery's charge status.The converter charger is capable of charging multiple batteries at the same time, and it can also charge different capacity batteries at one time.
A few built-in features on this unit to ensure long-term reliability, it offers electronic current limiting, which automatically reduces the output voltage to prevent overheating. It does offer reverse battery protection, prevents charge or damage if your connections are accidentally reversed. Also has high voltage, low voltage protection, which prevents damage from AC input voltage fluctuations. Has automatic thermal protection, protects from damage due to excessive heat. And if you notice right over here, let me spin it around, you can see right here it has a variable speed intelligent cooling fan on it, which will only operate under high heat conditions.This is GFCI protected, helps prevent ground fault interruption.
It is UL listed. A few specs on this unit, the input voltage is 105V to 130V AC. Output voltage is 13.6V DC. Wattage is 1,200 watts. Power draw, 60 amps.
Operating temperature on this unit zero degrees fahrenheit to 122 degrees fahrenheit. And storage temperature is negative four degrees fahrenheit to 176 degrees fahrenheit. Weight on this unit is about eight pounds. And last thing I want to do is give you some dimensions on it. Width on this is right at 9-5/8" by 7-3/4".
And the total height on this, the tallest point, is going to be right at 3-3/4" tall. But that should do it for the review on the replacement section for the Progressive Dynamics 4500 Series 60 Amp Inteli-Power Converter.

2015 Sundowner "Weekender" lost DC power. Progressive Dynamics troubleshooting guided me to confirm it was converter and not fuse or other issue. Converter replacement was searched although I saw one for about $20 less on line I did not know the vendor. Etrailer I knew them as dependable so ordered from them. Received installed and checked out, so very happy, especially my wife, it is her trailer. The aluminum screw terminals were so tight on other components I had to replace a breaker because I broke it trying to get wire loose. Old converter question....Does Progressive Dynamics recycle these components if so I need address to ship to, if "no" It will go to dump.

The manufacturer has confirmed that they do not refurbish or recycle old units. You can dispose of it at your local electronics disposal plants.

Very easy to install, only 5 wires. Took maybe 15 minutes including reading the instructions
First let me say the part seems to be fine and working well. My rating of three stars is based on the service I received. Unfortunately I was leaving on a trip and needed this part fairly quickly. It was a week before the 7/4 holiday. I had questions about the part because mine (2014) was a mirror image of the part pictured online. I called the manufacturer who was closed for a week due to the holiday. I called etrailer s they were first on the recommended vendor list. They couldn’t answer if the mirror image would work. I found the part else for a few dollars less but it would arrive a day later. So since etrailer had a posted arrival date one day earlier I purchased it from them. Well it didn’t arrive until Wednesday. When I sent an email to etrailer their response was if I needed it by a certain date I should have purchased expedí shipping but then said the blame was all on the fault of UPS. So who’s to say that expedited shipping would have arrived in time since etrailer is taking no blame. So five stars for the part three for service. Don’t post shipping dates if you can’t deliver on time. I order online all the time and have never received items later than the promised delivery dates
